Call 1800NISSAN1 & ask them: 1. See if the recall is still in effect. I remember somewhere someone saying the recall period has expired & anyone who hasn't done it is SOL. 2. If that is still doable, Have them check to make certain the recall has NOT been performed on the car. If it has been, then the recall is only for the original PTU, the one w/ the fins on the front of it. 3. If that is a true statement, have NISSAN1 call the service manager & ask him WTF is he talking about, they've never heard of the recall before? Idiots. Let NISSAN1 handle the complaint against the dealer. No reason to *sue* anyone over a non life threatening part that failed. Go through the appropriate channels for a satisfactory resolution first, 'cause that question will be asked if you decide to go to court over something this simple. Sheesh.
